Dr Achal Agrawal, during his undergraduate days in a premier medical college was highly influenced to take up surgery as his specialization. After completion of his post graduation in general surgery with distinction and gold medal and have observed several stelwards from the field of laparoscopy, he decided to take minimal access as his specialty.
He took extensive training in basic and advance laparoscopy under Dr Pankaj Khandelwal (a renowned and pioneer laparoscopic GI surgeon at Baroda,Gujarat). After acquiring required skills in basic and advance laparoscopy, he then did fellowship in advance laparoscopy and surgical gastroenterology at Kaizen hospital , Ahmedabad(Gujarat) under Dr Sanjeev Haribhakti. There he was trained thoroughly in advance laparoscopic and open gastrointestinal surgeries including laparoscopic upper GI, laparoscopic hepatopancreato biliary, laparoscopic colorectal surgeries and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies.
